It’s a few days before that football game at the end of the season that I can’t legally name because I’m not licensed by the NFL and this year for our normal get together with family and friends in Napa I’ve decided to make spicy chicken wings Serendipity style.
Chicken
1 lb chicken wings and drumettes
1 cup All Purpose Flour
1 Tbsp Paprika
1 T Kosher Salt
Wing Sauce
1 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup Serendipity Hot Pepper Jelly
1 tsp Garlic Nuggets
3 T Sriracha (+/- to taste)
1 tsp Kosher Salt
Preheat oven to 425°. In a small bowl whisk together flour, paprika, and salt and then toss chicken wings and drumettes to coat. Evenly place the chicken on to a cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
While the chicken is baking, add all of the sauce ingredients into a small sauce pan, heat over medium, and stir for a few minutes until the jelly has melted and all ingredients have thoroughly combined. Remove from heat and pour half to three quarters into a large prep bowl and the other quarter to half into a small serving bowl.
After the wings have finished cooking remove them from the oven. Add the wings to the sauce and coat thoroughly. Place the wings back on the cookie sheet and return to the oven for another 5 minutes.
Remove from the oven and plate on top of a bed of green cabbage next to the bowl of extra sauce for dipping. Other optional garnishes include ranch, blue cheese salad dressings, or sour cream.
There you have it, simple Serendipity Wings.
We hope everyone has a great weekend! Until next time.
Serendipitously,
Kristen & Lynette
